i've semi-retired from the blogging world -- there's been too much to do, both at work and outside. anyhow, as some of you know, i'm a crazy jet li fan. i think he's the best movie action flick movie star around -- in as far as i'm concerned, and i spread my theory all yesterday and now unto you all, there are 4 classes of kung fu movie stars, those who (followed by examples):
can fight, can act - jet li
can fight, can't act - chuck norris
can't fight, can act - tony leung, chow yun fat
can't fight, can't act - jean claude van damme, david carradine
okay. so besides the fact that he actually trained at a shao lin temple, and that he has impeccable chinese, and that he's buddhist, AND that he actually can act, fearless is one hell of a movie, visually and thematically. some chinese propaganda in there.. but bla bla bla. it's probably better then hero (actually, it is), and it's just beautiful. and of course, i cried. stupid me.
y'all should get out there and support his final martial arts film. it's badass.
