questions from work

lab is actually louder today, even though a lot of the interns and the boss aren't around and about. maybe us older ones have space to marinate on some things floating in our minds:

some of the questions that popped into my head during the conversations. if you have thoughts, please share:

1. is religion evolutionarily adaptive? do we need it?
2. is it possible to ever not be afraid to give yourself completely to someone else?
3. do we have souls?
4. are we truly responsible for anything that happens to us?
5. is there fate? are things deterministic? do we have free will?
6. do any of the previous questions matter anyhow?

This is something which I scribbled in my blog a while back.

Destiny

It is a word I like. Something I like to believe in. But at times it scares me.

Is our life a series of pre-conceived endings ?

Do our actions affect it at all ?

Or do our actions/decisions occur the way so as to take us closer to our destiny ?

Even the last minute change of mind, was it a twist necessary to complete the tapestry of events which leads us to our destiny ?
