Earlier this week I made a critical error in attempting to corral a bunny and picked up a nice injury.
The four bunnies were hanging out, when Stormy (bottom right black bunny) started to chase Pearl (upper black bunny)...
I went after Stormy intending to pick her up and let her know that we'd had enough bossing around of other bunnies for the night. She's the queen, but we don't want Pearl to feel harassed. Stormy ran for the cover of her bunny house, and I made the mistake of reaching in to get her. This intrusion into her safe place spooked her, so about ten seconds later she decided to make a break for it with all her sharp bits forward, exactly when I reached for her.
Bunny 1, clunky human 0 (though she didn't honestly mean to cut me).
That's from an accidental contact between bunny teeth and the top of my hand. I think the taste of blood grossed poor Stormy out, because she had to clean afterward:
(This is just a representative image of her cleaning, not from this week.)
But afterward she came by to check on me, and I made sure she was okay, and everything was good. We're still friends.

I hadn't realized that bunnies could be so fierce! Incidentally, Stormy looks frighteningly like my cat, just with longer ears and hoppier back feet.

Smarter bunnies tend to be more aggressive, and Stormy is quite smart. She also came from people who didn't handle her well -- she had ear mites when she was dropped off at the place where we adopted her.
She's mellowed out since then, but can still pull out the grrr when she needs to.

Stormy is an adopted bunny; the people who were keeping her had to use heavy, protective gloves to deal with her. Of course, when she was picked up by Honeyfields for the first time, she was peaceful and cute. I liked her right away.
She's quite smart. Maybe she was hoping to be put down outside of her cage somewhere if she behaved. I don't imagine she expected to be driven to another state and put in an apartment.
She's actually much calmer now than she used to be.
