myers-briggs, i have changed on you
i chose the 5 results option, so there are quite a few and will be in the extended.
the biggest surprise to me was that i've mostly switched from I to E. just two years ago, i usually came out as an I. today, 4 out of 5 of these results had Es on them. and it actually makes sense, given that i was pretty mistrusting of people through college due to some growing pains and have been learning to like them again more recently.
and quite honestly, i've been happier doing art than i would have been doing med school. i think i would've been good at being a doctor, but would have been less of the person that i could have been. and if i don't want to be a poor, tortured artist to be only recognized after i've kicked the bucket, being an E is much better in the art world. :)
now, as long as i can earn some money doing this art thing, everything would be perfect (since that means my parents won't be worrying and nagging me anymore).
i will post more real posts later. i'm still recovering from my intense semester. next semester looks like it will be slightly busier, too. worry worry.
moving onwards. :)

I've definately gone the otherway do to my occupation. I was MUCH more E when I was younger (ask my wife!) now I tend more towards I in many situations that I wouldn't have in the past.

what do you think accounts for the change? the need to be more diplomatic in the work field or such?

I flipped from F to T while in high school -- that's what a sci/tech education does to you, purges all of those useless emotions.

you callous, logic-driven maniac! :)
i've always come out in the middle for the last three, but i think these days i've been leaning towards N than S since rendering kills all desire to keep up with details in anything.

I think the change comes from spending so much of my time thinking about things. The more time I spend in my head pondering things the less interactive I am in social situation. The more I keep everything in my head.
My personality has a lot of inertia. I tend to stay on the same path unless a large force is applied. If I spend a lot of time thinking I tend not to be very interactive. If I spend a lot of time doing things I tend to have trouble slowing down. If I spend a bunch of time doing nothing I have a hard time doing anything...

so what would you say brought about the "thinking about things" trend? i would say that when i first met you, you were still more in the doing things trend, hampered by physical limitations, of course. was it getting married, perhaps? or changing workplaces? other changes in life?
for me... i tend to flow in and out of modes, depending on how balanced my life has been. if i've been too social, i tend to pull back a little until i've had enough alone time, etc. of course, when big enough things happen, it may take me longer to bounce back (years, sometimes).
