Desserts, movie and italian food

before i start, i decided that i like the postal service and i think they're coming to play at the fillmore on november 17th or something like that.

anyway.... i spoiled myself yesterday.

first, i did some necessary errands, like getting pellets for my bunnies. then i went to get a rice cooker for me because the power cord on my last one disappeared somewhere along my many moves. i guess that shows how much rice i ate over summer. :)

so after finally lugging all of agustin's cookingware into my car and finishing my errands, i was 30 minutes late to meeting up with agustin.

but it was ok, since he was late too. boys boys boys.... :)

metreon is having a sundance festival series of movies. they're going to play 4, so we watched the first one called The Other Side of the Bed. it was a fun, Spanish musical movie. though a little messed up too. :)

but before that.... well, i'll make a schedule:

from Just Desserts:
key lime raspberry cheesecake
amaretto cheesecake
chocolate mousse (extremely memorable chocolate bomb)
fruit tart (which agustin made into a regular tart after he ate the kiwi on its own~)

movie

from Figaro's around Vallejo and Columbus in North Beach:
blue cosmo
apple-tini
gnocchi al funghi with four cheese sauce
linguini al pescatore
italian flag
mojito

since we're both lushes, and had sugar overload before the movie, we just ended up getting more drinks instead of dessert after dinner.

yummy YUMMY food.

and the two of us on a student budget...hmmm....

Figaro's music selection was interesting. they would play random pop or disco music.... but in the middle they were playing pavarotti and la boheme.

we talked for a while, then i dropped him off and i got home around 2am. :p

my brain is gone. :)

now i'm off to eat food, do some laundry and to do some more art project stuff.

agustin's entry on this night of hedonism:

...which consequently made me half an hour late for meeting up with a friend of mine, said friend and I saw The Other Side of the Bed which was just as enjoyable the second time for me as the first. I highly recommend that movie to all of you. Before the movie, my friend and I bought desserts from this stand type thing in the Metreon called Just Desserts. We got Amaretto Cheesecake, Key Lime Raspberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Mousse, and a Fruit Tart. We really wanted sugar. They were all so good. The mousse was intense. After the movie we headed to North Beach and ate at Figaro, which is now my absolutely favorite restaurant in North Beach. I had the Gnocchi Funghi with a four cheese sauce. It was orgasmic. So incredibly good. All the food was good. It was great. I can't get over it. Yum.
