i haven't been blogging lately.

i haven't been blogging lately. mainly because i've been either busy doing stuff or busy not doing anything.

in the last week, i've spent two days running around trying to figure out how i can get out of GE requirements for SJSU. it looks like i can get out of one of the four and i can satisfy one of the GEs with an art history class i wanted to take anyway. that leaves two. two classes that i have absolutely no way of getting out of taking. oh well.

the writing requirement will take a lot of work. putting together petitions for waivers and whatnot. but all in all, i think it will be worth not having to take a full semester's worth of writing again. those classes tend to be time consuming and stressful, and i'd rather spend that time and money on my art classes.

yesterday, i helped amanda with her kitchen again. i was a little surprised at how people were telling me to stay away from the kitchen. i just figure that she needs help, no one else was, and i had the time. so we peeled linoleum with really really scary solvent thing that dissolves everything linoleum related (and man, that stuff burns if it touches you). after that we had indian food that we were too full for, and watched "hero." that was a really good movie, but i think ken and amanda have written more on that movie that i will (read the reviews: Ken's and Amanda's)

all i can say was that jet li was awesome as usual. i have the suspicion that he's one of the reasons why wushu has gotten so popular recently.

oh, and a correction on amanda's blog, the guy that responded to well to my "oh, jet li~" yell is actually a comic book seller, i think the new england comics, a publishing company. they publish "the tick" comics. the guys at the store just happened to really like the movie and flew someone to china to buy a buttload of dvds to sell at the comiccon. cool, huh?

i just watched "dangerous liaisons" on my tivo. i think it's better done than cruel intensions. just because i don't give high school students credit on understanding other people as well as the original cynics/manipulators are supposed to have. after all, just how experienced a lover can a 18-year-old really be? i mean geez...

but definitely the costumes, scenery, music and cast were great in "dangerous liaisons." i completely disagree with the chick that wrote a review on imdb. probably a high school kid.

oh, and if you do read amanda's blog (which you should) go check out her entry on "the age of bronze" since that is just an awesome book and i'm too lazy to write about it.
