Update: if you would like to add a comments feed, it should take about one minute. Copy the text from:

http://movabletypo.net/comments.xml.txt

Into a new Index Template on your MovableType blog. Have the template save out to "comments.xml". When you're done, send me a note and I'll add it.

Neither your or mike's sites have this feature enabled. It requires that you add a new template to your site to publish comments, which I can send you if you like.

It doesn't seem to work on remote sites.

I have commented on entries on Mikes blog and have comments on my blog that don't seem to be showing up in the comment count.

Not bad, if I do say so myself.

Just a technical note, comments on locally hosted sites (anything under movabletypo, and geekdom.net) appear immediately. Comments on external sites (ie, pqbon, meta, kwc) will take up to 15 minutes to appear.

If the layout is funky in Firefox you may want to try a shift-reload (i.e. hold down shift and do a reload). It may be that your browser is caching the old stylesheets. Otherwise, I don't know -- it looks fine on my Firefox.

it pulls the address from your user profile, but the MT user profile menus are completely busted. Instead of clicking on Add/Edit Weblog authors, you have to click on "User: bp" in the top right of your screen. Great, huh?

Where is it even pulling that address from? I poked through all the configs, the user account settings, etc., and I couldn't find a place to *set* that value. I probably wouldn't mind a single-use address there, just not the general one, as you suggest.

actually, I think the fall-off on 1010 coincided with the start of the movabletypo aggregator.
